Christopher D. Schmitz, author and owner of TreeShaker Books travels to sell books on an almost constant basis. One of his favorite places to meet readers is at renaissance festivals. After a few seasons with an author tent he decided he'd prefer a permanent location, but didn't want all the maintenance that accompanies one.

"Why not a renfest building I can bring with? Something uniquely themed, with built in book shelves, is rain-proof, and that can be slept in as well?" Thus, the Vardo was conceived!
